Louis William Dawson was born on February 23, 1897, and died May 21, 1917, aged 20 years, 2 months and 28 days. He leaves to mourn his death two sisters, Mrs. Edna Kruger, of Pratt, Kansas, and Maria Dawson, of Clements, besides five brothers, Carl, Bert, Walter, George and Glenn. The deceased had spent all his life at his father's home at Clements except for a brief period last year when he went to business college at Salina. His gentle and affable disposition endeared him to the hearts of all who knew him. He was conscientious and upright and although he had not united with any church he knew and believed in a personal Redeemer. The funeral was held at the church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. John Townley, and interment was made in the Clements cemetery.
