Seefeld, daughter of John and Johanna Seefeld, was born in Illinois on July 5, 1882, and passed away at her home in Nelson, Nebr., on Feb. 25, 1953, at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 20 days. In March of 1893 she came with her parents to Nuckolls county (sic) and resided on a farm five miles north of Nelson until 1920. Since then she has lived in Nelson. She confessed her faith in God at an early age and was baptized in the United Brethern Church north of Nelson where she was a devoted member. In 1926 she transferred her membership to the Nelson Methodist Church and her she continued to be steadfast in her devotion and loyalty to her Christ, her church and her friends. She leaves to mourn her departure two sisters, Mrs. Maie Rogers of Peoria, Ill., and Nellie Mae Seefeld of Nelson; a brother, Charlie of Guide Rock; five nephews, five nieces, and other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at two o'clock Friday afternoon, Feb. 27, in the Nelson Methodist church (sic), the Rev. Harold J. Coates officiating. Burial was made in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
