Description	:	The Nebraska Signal (Geneva, NE), January 1943 Louisa Lauenstein, daughter of Frederick and Louise Lauenstein, was born in Hanover, Germany, July 4, 1868. She passed away at the Lutheran Hospital in York, Neb., January 19, 1943, aged 74 years, 6 months and 15 days. Her illness was of short duration. In 1870 Miss Lauenstein came to this country with her parents, who settled in Bureau County, Illinois, where they resided for nine years. In 1870 Miss Lauenstein came to this country with her parents, who settled in Bureau County, Illinois, where they resided for nine years. In 1879 they moved to Nebraska and settled on a farm in Bennett Township, Fillmore County. Here she grew to womanhood and here she continued her residence until 1913, when she came to Geneva. With the exception of a few months, she lived with Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Uldrich just preceding her death, the closing years of her life were spent in her home here. She is survived by two nephews, William and Edward Lauenstein of Geneva, a niece, Mrs. Godfrey Uldrich of Geneva, besides other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted in the Hrubesky funeral home Thursday afternoon, January 21. Rev. W. B. Pardum, pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Sutton Cemetery.
