The body was accompanied to Odebolt by her daughter, Mrs Minnie L Eriksson of Pasadena. Local services were held at the Methodist church Tuesday. Interment was made in the Odebolt cemetery by the side of her husband. Louise Kathrine Wilhelmina Rabe, daughter of Henry and Louise Rabe was born Feb 1, 1870 in Germany. When about 4 years of age she came to the US with her parents to a farm in Richland township. Her father was killed in an accident during their first year in Iowa, while making a trip to Denison for supplies. Her mother later married August Dannenberg and the family continued living in Richland township. She attended the country school and assisted in the home duties. When a young girl she worked in homes of the community and kept house for her two brothers, Will and Henry. On Feb 5, 1891, she was united in marriage with August H.W. Reuber and to this union two children were born Edgar H and Minnie L. They made their home on a farm in Cook township until Feb 1904 when they moved to Odebolt. Mr and Mrs Reuber lived here until Nov 1932 when they moved to California to live with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs E.M. Eriksson. Her son, Edgar passed away June 5, 1933 and her husband Dec 3, 1934. Mr Reuber continued living with her daughter in Pasadena, CA assisting greatly in the keeping of the home, especially in the passing of her son-in-law, E.M. Eriksson May 22, 1941. Her health had been gradually failing during the last two or three years but quite rapidly since about the first part of August of this year. However her death came a little sooner than expected, having been confined to her bed for only 3 days before her death on Sept 23, 1948. Besides her daughter, she is survived by two brothers, Henry Rabe of Odebolt and Will Rabe; a half sister, Mrs H.R. Stanzel of Iola, Kansas; and two brothers F.C. Dannenberg of Kansas City and E.B. Dannenberg of Odebolt; one step-sister, Mrs Sophia Meadder and step-brother A.E. Dannenberg, both of Storm Lake; an uncle Fred Wegener of Hull; and 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
