Place Louvilla Alice Niday was born Aug. 30, 1879, and departed this life July 12, 1919, at the age of 39 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was the daughter of James L. and Jane Niday, both having preceded her to that better world; her mother dying when she was two years old and her father the 19th of last December. Place Louvilla Alice Niday was born Aug. 30, 1879, and departed this life July 12, 1919, at the age of 39 years, 10 months and 11 days. She was the daughter of James L. and Jane Niday, both having preceded her to that better world; her mother dying when she was two years old and her father the 19th of last December. She was married to Mancer Place Oct. 2nd, 1896, to this union were born four children; James, Hazel, Gladys and Bernice, all being at her bedside during her illness and death. Besides husband and children, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Ben McVey of Haviland, Kansas and Mrs. Sam McVey of near Humeston; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her untimely death. She was a kind and loving mother and a devoted wife. She bore her sufferings with patience, being taken sick just two weeks to the day of her death. Every thing was done that loving hands could provide, but the time had come for the Angel to call her home; but what is our loss is Heaven's gain. Funeral services were conducted July 13, 1919 from the Maple Grove church by Rev. M.S. Clark, in the presence of a large and sympathetic audience, who tender their sympathy to the bereaved family in their sad hours of sore affliction. Interment was made at Kirby cemetery.
