He was born on August 17, 1926 to Herman and Rose Henke Kracke on the family farm northeast of DeWitt. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of rural Clatonia. Kracke, 90, of rural DeWitt passed away Monday, December 26, 2016 in Lincoln. He was born on August 17, 1926 to Herman and Rose Henke Kracke on the family farm northeast of DeWitt. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of rural Clatonia. He grew up helping his parents, along with his three sisters, on the family farm and attended Happy Hollow District 149. He served in the United States Army, Quarter Master Corps during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1953. On June 9, 1957, Lovelle was united in marriage to Elsie L. Luebbe at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (Middle Creek) of rural Seward. They made their home on the family farm raising two children, Duane and Ruth. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of rural Clatonia where he served on the Church Council holding various positions. Lovelle was a life-long farmer and especially enjoyed raising livestock and poultry. He also enjoyed gardening, Cornhusker Football Games, his John Deere Tractors, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Elsie of the Wilber Care Center; one son, Duane Kracke of DeWitt; one daughter, Ruth (Donald) Odvody of Western; twin grandsons, Evan and Beau Odvody; step-grandson, Christopher (Amanda) Odvody of Wilber; step-great-grandson, Allen Odvody of Wilber; one sister, Gloria (Arnold) Henning of Lincoln; one sister-in-law, Alice Keller Spilker of Lincoln; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Marion (James) Spilker and Shirley (Glen) Hasenohr; seven brothers-in-law, Elvin Pospisil, Martin (Ila) Luebbe, Herbert (Irene) Luebbe, William (Frieda) Luebbe, Laurence Luebbe, Henry (Bernice) Luebbe, and Arnold (Eleanor) Luebbe; two sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Walter) Richert and Wilhelmina (Henry) Giesman; five nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of rural Clatonia with Pastor Steven Kahrs officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion Post #101 of Wilber. A memorial has been established to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with the church elders in charge. A family prayer service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday in the fellowship room of the church. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 12:00 noon Wednesday until 9:00 P.M. Thursday and at the church one hour preceding the services on Friday. The family will meet and greet friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home. A guestbook for signatures and messages of condolence is available online at www.foxfuneralhome.net. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice is in charge of the arrangements.
