A newspaper article on Adeline lists her as his mother.] Lucian moved to Wisconsin where he married Olive Lavina Smith on 27 August 1868 in Janesville, Rock, Wisconsin. They had 5 children: Harriet Julia Kellogg (1871-1921), Ella F. Kellogg (1874-), born 22 Aug, 1874 Plymouth, Rock, Wisconsin George Edward Kellogg (1875-1939), Alice Minerva Kellogg (1877-1960), and Artemus Kellogg (1882-1942). By 1870 the Lucian and Olive had moved to Iowa. They lived in Abiline, Kansas 1874 to 1877. By 1877 they moved to Adaville, Little Sioux, Woodbury, Iowa. *************************************** Obituary: Lucian Kellogg, Le Mars Globe-Post, Feb. 14, 1910: The funerial of Lucian Kellogg was held at Adaville last Monday afternoon. Rev. Mills, pastor of the United Brethern Church officiating. He was born at Clinton, Onega County, New York, January 30, 1849, and died on February 4 at the home of his daughter, [Alice] Mrs. Owen Kellogg. Mr. Kellogg died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. O. Taylor, Saturday, February 5, after an illness of two years, at the age of 61 years. The remains were laid to rest in the Adaville U. B. church cemetery Monday, of the funeral service. Five children were born of their union, four of whom are now living: Lucian, who resides in Oto, Woodbury Co., Iowa, married Olive SMITH, by whom he has five children..." NOTE: Lucian was born in 1849 but Philip and Adeline were married in 1960.
