Prior to that time she was hospital in Marshalltown since March 29. Born Lucille Bryant April 25, 1913, in the Mormon Ridge area, she was the daughter of Delbert and Lela Jester Bryant. She received her education in the Hazel Green and Clemons schools. Prior to that time she was hospital in Marshalltown since March 29. Born Lucille Bryant April 25, 1913, in the Mormon Ridge area, she was the daughter of Delbert and Lela Jester Bryant. She received her education in the Hazel Green and Clemons schools. On December 2, 1933 at the Honeycreek Church in New Providence, she was married to John H Goecke and they had always made their home in the Bangor and Marietta townships of Marshall county. Mrs Geocke was a member of the Minerva Wesley Chapel, the Minerva UMW, the Clemons Garden Club, the Marshalltown Arrangers Guild, was a 40 year exhibitor at local and state flower shows and fairs in both horticulture and canned and baked goods departments as well as having served as superintendent of the fruits and flowers at the Marshall County Fair for more than 20 years. Mrs Goecke was also a former 4-H leader and a Women's Farm Bureau member. Surviving are her husband, John, a son, Douglas Goecke of Marshalltown and a daughter, Kathryn (Mrs Carroll) Snider of Minerva. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Bill and Chuck Goecke, and Steve and Heidi Snider, as well as a stepsister Lois Ness. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Harley Bryant in infancy and Julius Bryant.
