Description	:	Lucille was born October 25, 1921 in Odell, Nebraska to William and Mabel (Craven) Rosecrans. She attended Odell Public School where she received several certificates for excellent penmanship. She married Carl Diekman February 21, 1941 at Marysville, KS. They lived and farmed in the Roca, Blue Springs and Diller areas before moving to Beatrice in 1956. In Beatrice, Lucille worked at Rancho, Floyd and Daisys and then for Beatrice State Development Center (BSDC) for 18 years as a ward aid until she retired in 1981. She attended Odell Public School where she received several certificates for excellent penmanship. She married Carl Diekman February 21, 1941 at Marysville, KS. They lived and farmed in the Roca, Blue Springs and Diller areas before moving to Beatrice in 1956. In Beatrice, Lucille worked at Rancho, Floyd and Daisys and then for Beatrice State Development Center (BSDC) for 18 years as a ward aid until she retired in 1981. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice. She enjoyed making crafts, ladies knitting club, crocheting, and collecting cardinals. She also enjoyed having family get-togethers. She was a wonderful mother and awesome caring grandmother. Lucille V. Diekman, 94, of Beatrice entered eternity December 17, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice, Nebraska. Left with memories are four daughters, two sons, 17 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren; one sister, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, who died March 25, 1980; one granddaughter, Erica Cullison; one great-grandson, Logan Weir; one son, Terry Diekman; one daughter-in-law, Billie Diekman; one son-in-law, Ed Jurgena; one grandson, Ted Nickels; one brother, Tom Rosecrans and wife Ella and one sister, Margie Disney and husband Ben. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church of Beatrice with Pastor Greg Gabriel officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery of Diller. A family prayer service will be held at 12:45 P.M. in the church chapel on Monday. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 8 am Saturday until 9 pm Sunday and one hour preceding the services at the church on Monday with the family present at the funeral home from 2-4 pm on Sunday.
