Lucinda (1824-1908) was the eldest of five children born to Samuel & "Polly" Parkins: 2) William J., (1826-1882); 3) Eleanor, (1829-1885); Maria, (1831-1904); 4) Nancy, (1834-1915); 5) Mary, (1842-1922). There was a half-brother by their father's 2nd marriage, Samuel Safford Parkins, (1858-1879).
