Addison, who died in Mindemoya Hospital, late Monday night, September 18th, 1950. A life-long resident of Manitoulin the late Lucinda Addison, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Humphrey May, deceased was born in Little Current, on October 4th, 1876. forty-nine years ago on July 24th, she was united in marriage to Mr. Jos. Addison of Silver Water, where she spent the remainder of her life. During this time she was a member of the W.I., St. Peter’s W.A. and president of the Jr. W.A. and of the Little Helpers and always a willing helper in the community. The funeral in charge of Mr. Alf. Turner and conducted by Rev. E. Richards of Gore Bay, was held from the Anglican Church, Silver Water, on Wednesday afternoon with interment in Silver Water cemetery. The large attendance, the many beautiful floral tributes and a personal message form the Bishop of Algoma, showed the high esteem in which she was held by all who knew her. Six friends and neighbours acted as pallbearers: Messrs. Lewie Kemp, Cliff Rumley, Bert Cook, John Hopkins, George Trick and Arden Duncanson. Thos left to mourn her loss include her husband, three daughters and two sons: Mrs. Roy Woodhouse, (May), Parry Sound; Mrs. E. Forster, (Daisy), Silver Water; Mrs. S. Cull, (Verna) Toronto; and Messrs. Ted and Jack Addison, Silver Water, also surviving are three brothers: Messrs. Jack and Gilbert May, Little Current; and Mr. Humphrey May, Hamilton; and one sister, Mrs. Allan Merchant, New Liskeard. There are also thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. How sweet is death, when all is peace, When pain is gone, and ills do cease; When we, are sure of her Heavenly home, We cannot mourn, though she is gone.
