She was the wife of the late Elder Fletcher Beasley who passed away in 1982. She was born Nov. 19, 1902, in Stokes County to William and Elmyra Hill Beasley. Mrs. Beasley was a housewife, member of Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church since 1936, and was its oldest living member. Read More	MOUNT AIRY, NC ~ Mrs. Lucy Helen Beasley, 97, of East Marion Street, Pilot Mountain, passed away Saturday evening at Central Continuing Care Facility. She was the wife of the late Elder Fletcher Beasley who passed away in 1982. She was born Nov. 19, 1902, in Stokes County to William and Elmyra Hill Beasley. Mrs. Beasley was a housewife, member of Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church since 1936, and was its oldest living member. She is survived by her loving children: one daughter, Wilna and husband Donald Durham of Pilot Mountain; two sons, Otis and wife Mary Beasley of Westfield, and Warren and wife Mary Beasley of Mount Airy; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by infant daughters, Macy and Mamie Beasley; one sister, Delphia King; and one brother, Earnest Beasley. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder David Edwards, Elder J.H. Keaton, Elder John Calhoun and Elder Johnny Belton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Cox-Needham Funeral Home on Monday, March 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. The family would like to thank Central Continuing Care and Northern Hospice of Mount Airy and request that memorials be made to Northern Hospice at 1033 Hwy. 52, Mount Airy, N.C. 27030. Cox-Needham Funeral Services of Pilot Mountain is serving the Beasley family.
