Description	:	Lucy Isobel Bayley Piercy, 87, of Orange County, Virginia, died on Thursday, January 14, 2011, at Dogwood Village of Orange County. She was born on June 7, 1923, in Oldham, England, the only child of the late George and Edith Bayley. During World War II she was a member of England's Women's Auxiliary Air Force. She married Andrew Low Piercy Jr., of Orange County, on August 15, 1945, in London, England. She retired from the American Silk Mill in 1987 and was a member of the Gordonsville Baptist Church. Read More	Lucy Isobel Bayley Piercy, 87, of Orange County, Virginia, died on Thursday, January 14, 2011, at Dogwood Village of Orange County. She was born on June 7, 1923, in Oldham, England, the only child of the late George and Edith Bayley. During World War II she was a member of England's Women's Auxiliary Air Force. She married Andrew Low Piercy Jr., of Orange County, on August 15, 1945, in London, England. She retired from the American Silk Mill in 1987 and was a member of the Gordonsville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Low Piercy Jr.; son, George Thomas; daughter, Andrea Joyce; and son, Andrew Low III. She is survived by son, Thomas Bayley Piercy and his spouse, Junya Kurita, of New York City; daughter, Barbara Piercy Snyder and her spouse, Terry Snyder, of Clermont, Florida; grandson, Logan Daniel Piercy; niece, Cindy Bare Sturm; and nephews, Hubert Bare III and John P. Crickenberger. At her request, her body was donated to the Virginia State Anatomical Program. A memorial service will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Gordonsville, Virginia, at a later date.
