She was born Oct. 26, 1904 in Beatrice and grew up here. She and her husband have operated a grocery store in Burchard for many years. Surviving her are her husband, Thomas J.; a brother W.E. Elwood of Beatrice, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church at Burchard with the Rev. Ramon Olson officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice. Both are Beatrice residence. Lucy Richards Weds Sunday Lucy Richards, daughter of Mrs. Warren Elwood, was married on Sunday, to Thomas Currey of Beatrice at the First Christian church. Rev. Wayne Green officiated in the presence of the immediate families. The bride wore a light blue stree length dress and a corsage of orchid gladioli. Her matron of honor, Mrs. Vera Hainen, wore a suit of dusty rose with black accessories and a corsage of salmon gladioli. Harlan Lillie was best man. A reception was held in the church parlors. Mrs. Lillie godwin of Grand Island and Miss Bertha Bruensbach of Beatrice were in charge of the serving. Mr. and Mrs. Currey will be at home at 705 Bell street. He is employed at Montgomery Ward's and she formerly worked at Woolworth's. Out of town guests at the wedding were Mrs. Lillie Godwin, David Godwin and Mrs. Cora Bush of Gran Island.
