Description	:	Lucy M. (Brunick) Hofman, 101, of Vermillion, SD died Sunday, September 24 at the Sioux Valley Vermillion Care Center. Lucy Shuff was born September 1, 1905 in Shelbyville, Ill. to Bud and Sarah (Strohl) Shuff. She attended school in Shelbyville, and married Nels Brunick on September 7, 1926, and Nels died in 1945. Lucy married Clem Hofman on February 1, 1953, and Clem died in 1973. Lucy moved from the farm to Vermillion in 1973. She loved to crochet, read, bowl, and spend time with her family. Lucy Shuff was born September 1, 1905 in Shelbyville, Ill. to Bud and Sarah (Strohl) Shuff. She attended school in Shelbyville, and married Nels Brunick on September 7, 1926, and Nels died in 1945. Lucy married Clem Hofman on February 1, 1953, and Clem died in 1973. Lucy moved from the farm to Vermillion in 1973. She loved to crochet, read, bowl, and spend time with her family. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, and the Senior citizens Center in Vermillion where she enjoyed playing cards. She is survived by her two sons; Nels Jr. (Shirley) Brunick and Duane (Lorraine) Brunick all of Vermillion, two brothers Dean Shuff of Bothell, WA and Dale Shuff of Cherry Valley, ILL , and a sister Esther Buran of Sullivan, WI. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, four sisters; Velma Gobell, Rosella Huetson, Elsie Perrin, and Oka Shuff, and two brothers; Wayne and Warren Shuff, and a great grandchild Brianna Lorensen. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 27 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion, with burial to follow in the Bluffview Cemetery in Vermillion. Arrangements by Hansen Funeral Home.
