Elder Darrell Argotsinger officiated at the services, assisted by Elder Elwin Vest. Music was furnished by Mrs. Lloyd Donn and Mrs. Harold Watkins, with Mrs. Max V. Hammitt as organist. Bearers were Bennie Grinnell, Stanley Powley, Lloyd Donn, Francis Harper, Sr., Ed Chappell and Nels Jacobsen. Final interment was in the Woodbine Cemetery. Lulu, daughter of Floyd and Ada Spencer, was born December 1, 1888, at Trowbridge, Penn-sylvania, and departed this life, August 5, 1963, at the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine, where she made her home for the last two and one-half years. She moved to Iowa when a young woman and practiced nursing in the Logan and Woodbine areas for several years. She was united in marriage to Edd Young on March 11, 1908, at the home of her sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Strong at Logan. Most of their life was spent farming in Harrison County until their retirement in 1947. This home was blessed with two adopted children: Dorothea (Mrs. Robert Thompson) of Logan, and Richard of Woodbine. Lulu was baptized a member of the Reorgan-ized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints on May 9, 1937, in Woodbine. Those preceding her in death were her husband, Edd, who died on August 8, 1953; her parents, one sister, two brothers and one grandson. Survivors include her son and daughter; one sister, Mrs. Helen Frazier of Omaha; two brothers, Melvin and Elvin of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Mrs. Tom Thomas of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Rita Curl of Sioux City, Linda Thompson of Logan, and Dick Young of Woodbine; four great-grandchildren, other relatives, and a host of friends. --------------------- The Woodbine Twiner Woodbine, Iowa August 8, 1963 ---------------------
