Description	:	---OBITUARY--- FINAL RITES HELD FOR EDD YOUNG, 69 Funeral services were held Monday, August 10, at the Woodbine Methodist Church for Edd Young, who passed away August 8. Elder Francis Harper and Charles Putnam officiated at the services. Music was furnished by Mitchell Juergens, accompanied by Mrs. H.L. Haight. Bearers were John Boone, Archie Deal, Bernard Hare, Howard Young, Cecil Young and Ralph Young. Final interment was in the Woodbine Cemetery. Edd, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Young, was born at Bigler's Grove, November 27, 1883, and departed this life August 8, 1953, at his home at Woodbine, after a prolonged illness, at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 12 days. On March 11, 1908, he was united in marriage to Lulu Spencer. This home was blessed with two children, Dorothea Thompson of Logan and Richard of Woodbine. He was baptized and confirmed a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints on May 9, 1937, and remained true to the covenant. Those who preceded him in death are: his parents; three sisters, Mary, Kate Boone and Fannie Deal; three brothers, George, Tom and Lee Roy; and one grandson, Gerald Richard Young. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife and family, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Bessie Hare, of Wood-bine, and many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. --------------------- The Woodbine Twiner Woodbine, Iowa August 13, 1953 ---------------------
