On 25 Sept. 1907, Lulu Virginia Sophronia Grimes and Austin Pearl Sanders were married in the home of the bride's parents, James Walter and Eliza Alice Grimes, in Aurora, Preston County, West Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifthy years, Austin Pearl Sanders, on January 19, 1957. I've been told she was an excellent shot with a pistol, and would sit on the front porch in the evening and shot twigs and small branches off of their trees.
