He attended high school in Meadow Grove and received a Business Administration degree from the University of Nebraska. Mr. Popelar served as traffic manager manager for several coal brokers before joining the Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Co. in 1956. He retired Sept. 1, 1966. Mr. Popelar, who never married, had resided since 1931 with his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. charles A. (Mary) Otradovec in Omaha. He continued to share the home of his sister following the death of her husband 10 years ago. Survivors include the sister, Mary Otradovec, Omaha; brother, Edward, Nelight; nieces, Mrs. William (Sylvia Otradovec) Dreier, Gwinner, North Dakota. Preceding him in death were his father in July 1926; mother in January 1936; and brother, Emil in 1958. Mr. Popelar was a cousin of Mrs. Lucy Brodecky, West Point, and the late Joseph R. Novak, Howells. The late Mmes. Rosa Popelar and Mary Novak were sisters. (Obituary above from contributor Jeffrey J.
