Description	:	Lutheria Malinda Parker, eldest of nine children of Samuel and Ellen Poole, was born near Douds, Iowa, October 15, 1874; and passed away at 10 p.m. at the Chatfield Nursing Home in Ottumwa at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 13 days. Read More	Lutheria Malinda Parker, eldest of nine children of Samuel and Ellen Poole, was born near Douds, Iowa, October 15, 1874; and passed away at 10 p.m. at the Chatfield Nursing Home in Ottumwa at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 13 days. Mr. Stagers passed away January, 1916. On February 22, 1920, she was united in marriage to Oscar Dallas Parker, who preceded her in death May, 1948. Mrs. Parker has been a resident of the Douds and Selma communities all her life, and was a member of the Selma Methodist church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; three sisters, Maude Cade of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Scott Davis of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Rosa who died in infancy; and one brother, Curtis Poole of Douds, Iowa. Surviving are her two children: Clare Stagers of Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Reva Nicklin of Helena, Mont.; four stepchildren: Rex Parker of Enid, Okla., Frank Parker of Douds, Reva Stagers of Sacramento, Calif., and Mildred Lanman of Selma; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Will Elsensohn of Ottumwa, Mrs. John Mercer of Helena, Mont.; and Mrs. Jessie Plowman of Douds, and one brother, Fred Poole of Douds as well as a host of relatives and friends. She was a wonderful mother and step-mother, and a friend to all who knew her. Funeral services were held at the Pedrick Funeral Home at Douds on Tuesday, May 1, 1956 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Harold Harryman of Milton officiating. Interment was in the Zion Lutheran cemetery.
