Description	:	Lydia M Kruse Berck Daughter of Fred and Katherine Kruse was born at Dannebrog on January 25th, 1881 and after a brief illness departed this life at the family home in Marquette on June 29th, 1937. She spent her childhood and early womanhood in the community of her birth and on December 20th, 1900 she was united in marriage at Boelus to John P Berck, to which were born 11 children, two of whom preceded her in death, a son Borden Wilbur and a daughter Avis Katherine. Read More	Lydia M Kruse Berck Daughter of Fred and Katherine Kruse was born at Dannebrog on January 25th, 1881 and after a brief illness departed this life at the family home in Marquette on June 29th, 1937. She spent her childhood and early womanhood in the community of her birth and on December 20th, 1900 she was united in marriage at Boelus to John P Berck, to which were born 11 children, two of whom preceded her in death, a son Borden Wilbur and a daughter Avis Katherine. The family home in Howard county was maintained for about 8 years, the family making its home in Central Nebraska and in 1926 came to Hamilton county where the family has grown in the esteem of the community in which it has resided. Early in life Mrs Berck was converted and became a member of the German M E church, later transferring to various memberships where they lived. In 1931 her membership was placed in the U B church. A woman of unusually pleasant and loyal disposition, she will be sorely missed. Of the immediate family left to mourn the passing of this christian mother are: the husband, John Berck, Vern, Lindley and Marvel at home, Mrs Myrtle Anderson, Marquette, Mrs Lillian Newcomer of Stromsburg, Mrs Ethel Schwarz of Chadron, Mrs Mamie Eriksen and Woodrow Berck of Aurora and Archie of Fort Meade, So Dak, besides a number of grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. Among those who attended the funeral of Mrs J P Berck on Thursday afternoon were Mr and Mrs Schwarz of Chadron, Mr and Mrs Henry Kruse and family of Beolus, Mr and Mrs Walter Shoemaker of Scotia, Mr and Mrs Arnold Hansen of Rockville, Mr and Mrs George Berck of Osceola, Mr and Mrs Lloyd Berck of Hastings, Mrs Clara Berck of Polk, Mr and Mrs Henry Berck of St Paul, Mr and Mrs Dwight Newcomer of Stromsburg, Mr and mrs Enid Ericksen and Mr and Mrs Woodrow Berck of Aurora.
