Description	:	Lydia A. Raines was born in Illinois May 10, 1855, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Collier, March 21, 1923. (Per 1880 Census, Harrison Co, MO, she was born about 1845) She with her parents moved to Harrison County, Missouri about 1855. She was married to Sydney Bondurant June 1861. To this union were born W. J. Bondurant of Kansas City, Mo., Madison Monroe Bondurant deceased, Mrs. Robert Maxwell, Warrensburg, Mo., and Mrs. Harry W. Collier of Beaver Crossing, Nebr. (Per 1880 Census, Harrison Co, MO, she was born about 1845) She with her parents moved to Harrison County, Missouri about 1855. She was married to Sydney Bondurant June 1861. To this union were born W. J. Bondurant of Kansas City, Mo., Madison Monroe Bondurant deceased, Mrs. Robert Maxwell, Warrensburg, Mo., and Mrs. Harry W. Collier of Beaver Crossing, Nebr. Her husband died April 7, 1871. On August 4, 1879 she was married to Richard Raines. To this union three children were born all three having preceded her. She was again left a widow Oct. 9, 1904. Besides the children she leaves one brother and many other relatives and a host of friends. She was a member of the Evangelical Church. The funeral was conducted by her pastor, Rev. W. P. Bancroft and the sermon was delivered from the text of her own selection, "She hath done what she could." The remains were tenderly laid away in the Beaver Crossing Cemetery.
