Description	:	Mrs. Lydia Fryrear, a resident of Holyoke and this community for 36 years, passed away Sunday at the Phillips County Hospital following an extended illness. She was 69 years old. Funeral services were conducted at 3:00 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Holyoke Methodist church, with Rev. J. Wilson Branstetter officiating. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Arrangements were in charge of the Lewis Funeral Home. Lydia Carolyn Struckmeyer, a daughter of August and Katherine Struckmeyer, was born November 30, 1884, at Clatonia, Nebraska. She was reared in that community and was united in marriage with Charles Monroe Fryrear on February 22, 1905, at Clatonia. To this union five children were born, four sons and one daughter. The family moved to Phillips County in 1918 and Mrs. Fryrear's home was in and around Holyoke the remainder of her life. She was united with the Methodist church in Clatonia, Nebraska, at an early age, later transferring her membership to the Holyoke Methodist Church after moving here. Mrs. Fryrear was preceded in death by her husband on April 27, 1938; the daughter, who died in infancy; one sister, Ello Alfke; and two brothers, Otto and Henry Struckmeyer. Surviving are four sons, William, Melvin, Merle and Charles Fryrear, all of this community; three sisters, Mrs. Lulu Pretzer and Mrs. Minnie Steinmeyer, both of Clatonia, and Mrs. Annie Winter of Holyoke; 12 grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
