Description	:	Obituary from the Presque Isle County news: "Mrs. Lydia Jane Mitchell Conrad, mother of Mrs. Dora Kroening, died at her home at Buchanan last Tuesday, January 2nd. Mrs. Kroening was unable to reach her mother before she passed away. Mrs. Conrad was born August 28, 1850, and was 61 years old when she died. She was baptized in the Christian Church at the age of 15 and has lived a model Christian life. In 1866 she was married to Andrew G Conrad, who survives her. Read More	Obituary from the Presque Isle County news: "Mrs. Lydia Jane Mitchell Conrad, mother of Mrs. Dora Kroening, died at her home at Buchanan last Tuesday, January 2nd. Mrs. Kroening was unable to reach her mother before she passed away. Mrs. Conrad was born August 28, 1850, and was 61 years old when she died. She was baptized in the Christian Church at the age of 15 and has lived a model Christian life. In 1866 she was married to Andrew G Conrad, who survives her. Twelve children, five sons and seven daughters also survive her, all of whom were present at the funeral. The sons are Charles, of Niles; James, of South Bend, Indiana; Manuel of Buchanan; Samuel, of Traverse City; and Andrew, of the U.S. Navy. The daughters are Mrs. Susie Smith, South Bend, Indiana; Mrs. Dora Kroening, Millersburg; Mrs. Retta Kiser, Niles; Mrs. Gertrude Zimmerman; Mrs. Hazel Marsh; Mrs. Fernanda Shepardson, Buchanan; and Mrs. Matilda Lane, Chicago. Mrs. Conrad was a kind and loving wife and devoted mother. Millersburg friends sympathize deeply with Mrs. Kroening. Dearest mother, thou has left us And thy loss we deeply feel But Oh!
