Description	:	Lyle Harold Moeller, son of Margaret Lutjen Moeller and Harold Moeller, was born February 7, 1944 in Webster City, Iowa. He died March 18, 2016 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa at the age of 72 years, 1 month, and 11 days. Lyle grew up on a farm Northeast of Boone in Harrison Township and graduated from Stanhope High School in 1962. He went to work for West Central Coop in Boone, and then the Department of Transportation, before going to work for the United States Post Office where he worked for 35 years as a letter carrier in the City of Boone. He retired from the Post Office in March 2013. On September 26, 1970, Lyle was united in marriage to Nancy Ritland at the Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland, Iowa. They were the proud parents of four children: Matthew, Sara, Brian, and Nathan. They made their home on the farm where he grew up in rural Boone. Lyle loved watching sports, especially baseball and his favorite teams the Chicago Cubs and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He also loved being outdoors and farming. He really enjoyed his job as a letter carrier and especially loved to talk to his customers along his route. After he retired, he would often go and help those same people clean up sticks in their yard or whatever they needed help with. Lyle was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Boone, Iowa. He was very involved in the church and was there almost every time something was going on. He also served as Treasurer of the church for over 30 years. Lyle was preceded in death by his father Harold Moeller; his step-father John Walker; his father-in-law Earl Ritland; and his nephew Eric Thomson. He is survived by his wife Nancy Moeller of rural Boone, IA; his children: Matthew (Johnna) Moeller of Ellsworth, IA, Sara Moeller, Brian Moeller, and Nathan Moeller all of Boone, IA; his mother: Margaret Walker of Stanhope, IA; sister Elaine (Richard) Thomson of Altoona, IA; his mother-in-law Helen Ritland of Story City, IA; two brothers-in-law: David Ritland of Minnesota, and Roger Ritland of California; niece Karen (Joe) Peterson; nephews: Chris Thomson and Scott (Katie) Thomson; other relatives; and many friends.
