Description	:	LINCOLN - Lynn Marie Meyer, 70, of Lincoln, previously of Doniphan, passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at Bryan LGH East. A private memorial service for the family will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Franklin. Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Read More	LINCOLN - Lynn Marie Meyer, 70, of Lincoln, previously of Doniphan, passed away Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, at Bryan LGH East. A private memorial service for the family will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at the Greenwood Cemetery in Franklin. Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was born Jan. 18, 1950, to Kenneth and Dorothy Steinkruger in Minden. She was raised in Franklin, where she married her high school sweetheart, Ronny Meyer, and graduated from Franklin High School. While living in McCook, Lynn gave birth to their firstborn son, Russell. The married couple moved to Kearney, where Lynn completed her Bachelor's Degree in education. Lynn and Ronny moved to Hastings, where they grew their family. While raising their three sons, Russell, Jason and Jacob, she taught third and fourth grades at District 60, managed one of the family-owned businesses, Jake's Yogurt Shop, and completed her Master's Degree in counseling at the University of Nebraska. In 1991, Lynn was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. For several years after her diagnosis, she continued to work and served as the executive director of the Adams County Development Council in Hastings. When her family moved to Doniphan, she became a counselor for Central Community College in Grand Island. Toward the end of her career at CCC, Parkinson's Disease forced her to give up her much-loved vocation. Lynn was happiest when those around her were happy. She enjoyed learning the details of others' lives so she could pray for them and surprise them with acts of kindness. She enjoyed shopping, dining, desserts and movies, but it was Jesus and her family that made her heart sing. Time with her husband, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and extended family brought her joy and fueled her enthusiasm for life. Lynn's faith in Christ and hope of eternal life helped her cope with Parkinson's Disease. Even when Parkinson's Disease compromised her ability to speak and sing, she still found a voice to hum a hymn and quietly pray for others. In early December, Lynn contracted COVID-19 while living at an assisted living facility in Lincoln. She passed away Dec. 6, 2020, at Bryan LGH East. We will forever miss her smile, enthusiasm and her affectionate lipstick kisses. Survivors include her husband, Ronny Meyer; sons, Russell, Jason and Jacob; grandchildren, Ellesandra Stecher, Joseph Meyer, Carson Meyer, Isaac Meyer, Brendon Meyer, Ashton Meyer and Simon Meyer; great-grandchildren, Ezra and Jack Stecher; and, siblings, Lori Nelson, Dave Steinkruger and Scot Steinkruger. Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Dorothy Steinkruger; her sister, Julia Steinkruger; and two brothers, Steve and Russell Steinkruger.
