She met and later married Arthur Nixon in 1938 in Colfax, WA and together made their home in Sunnyside, WA until his passing in 1990. She was a former member of the First Christian Church and current member of the Sunnyside Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Mabel is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Nixon and Jay Stark, her five sisters, Ruby Crooks, Nora Hacker, Marie Hayes, Mae Gulick and Katie C. Smith.
