Pastor Rae Speiser will officiate. Mrs. Wattawa passed away on January 24, 2007 at a care center in Lake Norden, South Dakota. She was the widow of Charles Wattawa. Burial will be in the Hazel Cemetery, Hazel, South Dakota. Honorary pallbearers will be Mabel's great-granddaughters, Emma Lebert and Kylie Reisenweber. Mabel was born on November 23, 1914 at Hazel, South Dakota to William and Katherine (Weelborg) Adams. She graduated from high school in Hazel, South Dakota. She played fastpitch softball for many years. Mabel married Charles Wattawa on December 26, 1938 at Henry, South Dakota. She enjoyed farming with her husband and tending her many flower and vegetable gardens. Mabel was known for her six foot tomato plants that she grew every summer. She cherished her time spent with her family. Mabel was a member of Hazel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and riding the tractor. She is survived by her daughter Joy and her husband Gregg Lebert of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; four brothers: Jesse and his wife Virginia Adams of Bluffton, Indiana, Bob Adams of Hazel, South Dakota, Wayne Adams, and Jim and his wife Marie Adams all of Watertown, South Dakota; two grandchildren Culley and his wife Amy Lebert, and Shantel and her husband Eric Reisenweber, all of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and two great-grandchildren: Emma Lebert and Kylie Reisenweber, both of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Mabel was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister Mary Ann McLeod; two brothers Art and Don Adams; and one sister-in-law Stella Adams.
