Last rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday June 7 at the Congregational Church in Clarks, with Rev. Ralph DeBourgh Larson officiating, and burial will be in Silver Creek Cemetery. The body is to lie in state at Fleming -McKown Funeral Home in Silver Creek from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the church from 1 p.m. to the time of service. The daughter of Nels and Sophie Pierson, she was born May 8, 1887 at Osceola. She was married to Walter T. Cremeen December 21, 1907. They resided at Arcadia and spent most of their married life in the Silver Creek and Clarks area. Mrs. Cremeen was a member of the Congregational Church and Ladies Aid. Survivors include two sons, Walter W. Cremeen of Grand Island and Lawrence R. Cremeen of Boulder, Colorado; Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, William R. Pierson of Genoa, Minne Deland and Margaret (Peggy) Wilson of Los Angeles, California, Florence Nickels of Scottsdale, Arizona, Violet Ling of Scottsbluff and Gladys Steinbaugh of Blair. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Irene Alice, and son Forest Keith; sisters, Ellen, Mildred, and Bertha and brother Arthur. Cremeen, 81, Clarks, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Congregational Church in Clarks. The Rev. Ralph Larson officiated and was assisted by Rev. Walter Neth. Burial was in the Silver Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Darwin Pierson, Glenn Carter, Floyd Frizzell, George Van Winkle, Norman Carter and Cedric Finecy. Relatives and friends attended from Boulder, Colorado, Scottsbluff, Blair, Grand Island, Ravenna, Osceola, Clarks, Silver Creek and Columbus.
