Maillet St. Thomas (Special) - The death of Mrs. Madelaine Maillet occurred Saturday morning at her home here following a lengthy illness, at the age of 98, the oldest resident of the community. Born in St. Anthony, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Melanson, she was the widow of Gilbert Maillet, who died in 1954. She was a member of the Order of St. Anne. The body is resting at Richard's Funeral Home in Buctouche with funeral service to be held at St, John the Baptist Church, Buctouche this morning at 9:00 with burial in the parish cemetery.
