Madge Ellen Wilson, daughter of Hiram and Emma Wilson, was born in English township, Lucas county, Iowa, on Feb. 14, 1884, and had reached the age of 52 years, 2 months and 18 days. On June 14, 1911, she was united in marriage to Dean D. Ferguson. This union was blessed with one daughter, Leonora. She united with the Christian church when quite young, becoming a member of the Central congregation, the church being located where the town of Williamson now stands, and has always lived a consistent Christian life. She was well known, her life having all been spent in this county, and was extremely well liked because of her kindly, winsome manners. She was always happiest when she was encouraging someone by her helpful attitude, which with her was a strong personal attribute. Her beautiful character and mode of living is a tribute to her family, and one worthy to be emulated. The memory of her will be cherished as a precious possession by the loved ones left to mourn their loss and all who knew her. Surviving her are her husband and daughter, Leonora, and two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Alda Agan, Chariton; Mrs. Lura Wright, Mt. Pleasant; Chester Wilson, Woodburn; Henry Wilson, Trenton, Mo.; and Elmer Wilson, English township.
