Description	:	Mae Christiansen Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Christiansen, 77 of rural Creighton were held at 2 p.m. December 21, at the Ashburn Funeral Home in Plainview with the Rev. Warren Spellman officiating. Interment was in Plesant View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clifton Babcock, James Babcock, Dwain Stacken, Daryl Staken, Daren Staken, and Ronald Christensen. Mrs. Gaylyn Alexander was pianist and accompanied Duane Christiansen who sang "In the Garden" nd Mansion Over the Hilltop." Mae Bertha Christiansen was born October 8, 1905 at Plainview to Obadiah Daise and Emma Schlote Brokaw and passed away at the Creighton Care Center on December 17, 1982. She was confirmed in the Methodist Church and was a graduate of Plainview High School. She loved flowers and gardening and was an excellent seamstress and liked to crochet and do fancy work. She was a member of the Kensington Club for 36 years and was also a member of a project club for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband J. Fred Christiansen; a son, Vernon F. Christiansen; a grandson Kenneth Christiansen; her parents and two infant sisters. Survivors include four sons, Norman of Norfolk, Donald of Osmond, and Ernest and Leland of Creighton; three daughters Dorothy Babcock of Winnetoon, Fern Stacken of Creighton, and Esther Clausen of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Ruth) Jensen of Concordia, M.; and Mrs. Joe (Velva) Offenberger of Sedalia, Mo.; and two brothers, Orin Brokaw of Monmouth, Iowa and Carl Brokaw of Arlington.
