Description	:	Hull Girl Killed in Auto Accident Miss May De Boer, 26 years died early Sunday morning in Omaha, Neb. as a result of an automobile accident. She was hit by a car travelling very fast just after she stepped from a taxi cab in the city of Omaha, and killed instantly. She was hit by a car travelling very fast just after she stepped from a taxi cab in the city of Omaha, and killed instantly. Her partner was also struck down and is in critical condition in an Omaha hospital. Miss De Boer was born April 29, 1914 in Sneek, Netherlands. When 4½ months old she came to America with her parents, who settled near Boyden, Iowa. For the past eight years she was employed in Omaha. One sister, Fannie, preceded her in death, dying at the age of 14 years, She is survived by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter De Boer of Hull; two brothers, George and Henry, both at home and one sister Julia, (Mrs. Adrian Boer) of Artesia, Calif. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 1:00 p.m. from the home near Hull, Ia. and at 1:30 p.m. from the Christian Reformed Church, Hull, Ia. The Rev. Mr. L. Haan officiated. Burial was in the Hull cemetery. Sioux County Capital 1940-08-15.
