Democrat, Sidney, OH, Fri May 2, 1919 HELMLINGER Very suddenly and unexpectedly came the death of Mrs. Lena Helmlinger, relict of the late Christ Helmlinger, at her home, north of Jackson Center, from paralysis of the heart. Mrs. Helmlinger has been in failing health for some time, but Wednesday was feeling particularly well. Late in the afternoon of the day she laid down for a short time, and a little later members of the household found her lying on the floor dead, at 5:00 o'clock, Wednesday, April 23, 1919. Deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Koch. She was born in Pusheta township on April 10, 1859. She died at the age of 60 years and thirteen days. She was first married, fory years ago to Henry Helmlinger, and two years later her husband passed away leaving her with two children, John H. Helmlinger and Mrs. Mike Gross of Clay township. Later she was united in marriage to Christ Helmlinger, who preceded her in death sixteen years ago. One son, George B. Helmlinger, of Clay township, near Gever, was born to them. Mrs. Helmlinger is also survived by three half brothers, John Mann, Louis Mann of Auglaize county, and William Mann of Botkins. Mrs. George Vetter is a half sister, a brother George Koch, died two years ago. She is survived by seven grandchldren. Deceasd was a faithful member of Helmlinger Church near Gever. Funeral services from that church Saturday morning, April 20, 1919, at 9:30 o'clock, the pastor the Rev. L. Loehr conducting. Interment in the Helmlinger cemetery.
