(Source: Gage County, NE Marriage Records) ============================================ The Belleville Telescope (Belleville, KS), Thursday, April 15, 1937; pg. 6 Maggie Ella Moore was born in Johnson county (sic), Ia., May 13, 1866, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.A. Van Winkle on April 7, 1937, after an illness of three months, at the age of 70 years, 10 months, and 24 days. She moved with the family to Gage county (sic), Neb., in 1881. She was united in marriage to Chauncy (sic) Cozine in the fall of 1896. They moved to their farm south of Chester into Kansas where they made their home until the death of her husband on April 16, 1936. Since that time she has made her home with a daughter, Mrs. G.A. Van Winkle. To his union were born five children, Hazel, who preceded her mother in death; Nettie Van Winkle of Chester; Harlen J. North Platte, Neb.; Olive Bordens, Santa Fe, N.M.; and Cora Janeway, Clovis, N.M. She also leaves to mourn her death two sisters, Emma Bourne, Bellingham, Wash., and Anna Taylor, Opportunity, Neb.; and eleven grandchildren. For many hears she was an active member of the Christian church (sic) and lived a consistent Christian life. She fought the good fight; she finished the course; she kept the faith and has gone on to her reward. The funeral services were conducted from the Christian church (sic) in Chester, Neb., Sunday afternoon by the Rev. P.O. Davis of Belleville, and interment was made in the Chester cemetery (sic).
