Description	:	Malinda J. Spielman, daughter of Eliza Anna (née Haupt) and Jacob Spielman, junior, was born in Washington County, Maryland. Her father died in 1847, when she was 11. She was enumerated in 1850 in her maternal grandparents' household, and in 1860 with her mother and step-father. Malinda Spielman and Joseph Zittle were married on 3 March 1861 in Boonsboro, Washington County, Maryland.
