F. E. Pfoutz, pastor of the church. Mrs. Delta McClintick and Miss Irene Pfoutz sang, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," and "Rock of Ages," accompanied by Miss Ora Mansfield at the organ. Manerva McCeary [sic] was born in Mina [sic] County, Indiana, Oct 21, 1849 and passed away at her home in Central City, Nebr., at 5:20 pm Friday, May 22, 1931 at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 1 day. With her parents she moved to Fillmore, Andrew County, MO. March 2nd 1867 she was united in marriage to Albert H. Harrold. To this union were born five daughters and one son. Two daughters have preceded her in death, one dying in infancy and Lillian Harrold Gee passed away February 1, 1906 leaving a son one year old, who was reared to manhood by Mrs. Harrold. He now resides in San Diego, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Harrold moved from Missouri to Iowa and then in 1890 they came to Boone County, Nebraska, where Mr. Harrold who was a civil war veteran, passed away February 21, 1900. Mrs. Harrold was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in Missouri and in 1929 reunited with the Methodist church of Glenwood, Iowa, which was her home then and where she has many friends to mourn her going. She is survived by three daughters: Mrs. Amanda R. Reno, Snyder, Colo; Mrs. Minnie Duncan, of Omaha; and Mrs. Edith Clipston, Albion. There is one son, William Harrold, Central City, and one brother, Isaac McCreary, Seely, Colo. There are 18 grandchildren and 23 great grand- children, besides a host of friends. Children: 1.
