Marcel, the son of Albert and Elise (Hunn) Henry was born on June 15, 1920 at Leigh, Nebraska. In 1924 the family moved to Cedar Rapids, Nebraska where Marcel was baptized at the St. John's Lutheran Church. He attended Boone County (NE.) School District 29. Read More	Marcel Albert Henry, of Spalding, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at his home. Marcel, the son of Albert and Elise (Hunn) Henry was born on June 15, 1920 at Leigh, Nebraska. In 1924 the family moved to Cedar Rapids, Nebraska where Marcel was baptized at the St. John's Lutheran Church. He attended Boone County (NE.) School District 29. He farmed with his father and then the family moved to Spalding, Nebraska in 1944. Marcel was united in marriage to Mary Ann Haschke on May 10, 1948 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, Nebraska. The couple made their home southwest of Spalding, Nebraska and continued to farm. They moved into the town of Spalding, Nebraska in 1984 when he retired from his life-long business of farming. Marcel used his mechanical skills after retirement, helping the John Deere Implement put together small machinery that they got in. Marcel is survived by: wife, Mary Ann Henry of Spalding, Nebraska; sons: William Henry of Abie, Nebraska and Gerard & wife, Nancy of McKenzie, Alabama; daughters: Katherine Henry of Spalding, Nebraska, Carol Rott & husband, Robert of Grand Island, Nebraska and Molly Langemeier of Norfolk, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Mary Haschke of Greeley, Nebraska and host of relatives and friends. Marcel was preceded in death by: parents; daughter, Mary Louise Henry; great-grandson, Taylor Craig; daughter-in-law Ila Mae McCellan-Henry; sisters, Alicia Heinz & Gertrude Harnapp. Interment was in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Spalding, Nebraska.
