Gallagher, 94, of Concordia, Kan., died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at the Mount Joseph Senior Community in Concordia. She was born July 21, 1914, in Macyville, Kan., to Henry Nelson Odette and Alma Bombardier Odette. She graduated from Concordia High School. She married Lloyd J. Gallagher on Aug. 7, 1933, in Jamestown, Kan. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1995. She and Lloyd lived in Colorado for seven years before returning to Concordia. She worked for Gallagher Meat Packing and then went to work for Boogaarts until her retirement in 1979. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She is survived by three sons, Jerry Gallagher and wife Mary Jane of Concordia, Larry Gallagher and wife Connie of Clyde, Kan., and Greg Gallagher and wife Annette of Concordia; two daughters, Johnita Courville and husband Don of Concordia, and Jean Bohm and husband Harold of Fort Morgan; 13 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; her parents; a sister, Romella Shoemaker; two brothers, Aldimore and Ernest Odette; and a great-grandchild, Tess Gallagher. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday, and a Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Monday with a vigil at 6:30 p.m., all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia. Services will be Tuesday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia with Rev. Barry Brinkman officiating. Interment will be at St. Concordia Cemetery in Concordia. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or Meadowlark Hospice.
