Description	:	Marcella Packer Hooper Sentinel Marcella "Sally" Packer, 83, of Clay Center, Kan., formerly of Hooper, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center. She was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Hooper to Joseph and Caroline (Baechler) Moser. She married Roy Packer on June 4, 1945, and they farmed near Hooper. Read More	Marcella Packer Hooper Sentinel Marcella "Sally" Packer, 83, of Clay Center, Kan., formerly of Hooper, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at Clay County Medical Center in Clay Center. She was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Hooper to Joseph and Caroline (Baechler) Moser. She married Roy Packer on June 4, 1945, and they farmed near Hooper. They moved to Clifton in 1951 and then to Farmington, Minn. in 1972. They moved to Clay Center in 1983. Her husband preceded her in death in May 1983. She worked for the USD 379 Food Service Department, retiring in 2002. She also was an Avon representative for 35 years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and Catholic Women's Organization, American Legion Auxiliary and the A to Z card club, both of Clifton, and the Clyde Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary. Survivors include; four daughters, Carolyn (and husband, Cliff) Williams and Linda (and husband, Don) Baker, all of Clay Center, Beth (and husband, Mike) Rhein of Savage, Minn.; a sister, Betty Parr of Seward; 13 grandchildren and 12-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, two grandsons, six brothers and four sisters. The funeral will be 10a.m. Monday at Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center with the Revs. Larry Gennan, Merlin Kieffer and Loren Werth officiating. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday with family greeting friends at Neill-Schwensen-Rock Funeral Home in Clay Center. A rosary will be said at 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center. A memorial has been established for the church in care of the funeral home.
