Mrs. Arndt died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, in the emergency room of Newman Regional Health. She was 69. She was a secretary at the Emporia Credit Bureau, Teichgraeber Milling Company, Irsik and Doll Feed Services and, most recently, was a traffic coordinator at Thermal Dynamics. She retired five years ago. The daughter of Allen and Arline Schrader Jevons, she was born Jan. 15, 1941, at Emporia. She graduated from Emporia High School and attended Emporia State University. She married Frank Arndt on Nov. 11, 1961, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He survives. Mrs. Arndt was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She also was a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority, Emporia Alzheimer's Support Group and the Prairie Hens extension unit. She was a leader in the Chamness 4-H Club for 14 years. She is also survived by one daughter, Cindy Klumpe of Olpe; two sons, Tom Arndt and Tim Arndt, both of Emporia; one sister, Sandi Humston of Silver Lake; and six grandchildren, Casey Arndt, Devin Arndt and Coltin Arndt, all of Emporia, and Josh Klumpe, Jason Klumpe and Jessica Klumpe, all of Olpe.
