Margaret Ann Long, daughter of Paul Milton Jordan and Mildred Audria (Vaughan) Jordan, was born on March 28, 1944, in Jefferson, Ia. She graduated from Lorimor High School with the class of 1962 and later graduating from the Americana School of Beauty in Des Moines, Ia. Margaret lived for a time in Macksburg, Ia. where she worked as a beautician for several years. In April 1975, Margaret moved to Lorimor, Ia., where she worked as an active mother and homemaker. She later started her own upholstery business from her home. Margaret also served her community as a part of the Lorimor City Council. Later she worked for Winnebago Industries for several years. On August 8, 1988, Margaret was united in marriage to Darrel Edwin Long in Tingley, Ia., continuing to live in Lorimor, Ia. Most recently she had worked as a cashier at Terribles Lakeside Casino in Osceola, Ia. until her retirement in April 2018. Margaret is survived by her husband, Darrel; a son, Merlyn; two daughters, Candace (husband Alex) and Gailla (husband Jeff); step-daughter, Yolanda (husband Tom); step-son, Brian; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Merrill (wife Phyllis); a sister, Shirley (husband Keith). Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Audrey Jordan.
