(Thomas) Eisel (1859-1932) . Of their five daughters, Margaret Antonia Eisel was the second to be born. The Find a Grave Memorials of the five Eisel daughters are linked below to each other and to those of their parents. * * * * * MARRIAGE in 1920: During the year 1920 at the age of thirty-three, Margaret Antonia Eisel wed forty-one year-old Ernest Henry Burkhardt (1878–1936), a farmer in Butler County, Ohio, and the seventh-born of the ten children of Mathias ( Matthias) Burkhardt, Jr. (1838-1933) and Katharine "Kate" (Lotz) Burkhardt (1843–1927), who had wed on October 28, 1863, in Butler County, Ohio, after having arrived there seven years earlier with their respective families, that of Mathias from Unterhausen, Landsberg am Lech, in the Kingdom of Bavaria and that of Katherine from the small industrial town of Aßlar in Kreis Wetzlar of the Kingdom of Prussia. * * * * * A MARRIAGE OF SIXTEEN YEARS: Margaret Antonia (Eisel) Burkhardt and Ernest Henry Burkhardt resuded on their Butler County farm near Hamilton and are not known to have raised any children. On June 17, 1936, at the age of fifty eight, Ernest died of injuries shortly after having been accidentally kicked in the head by one of his farm horses. After Ernest's death, Margaret Antonia (Eisel) Burkhardt did not remarry. * * * * * DEATH & INTERNEBT: On January 16, 1968, four days before her eighty-first birthday, Margaret Antonia (Eisel) Burkhardt died at Hamilton, seat of Butler County, Ohio, and was interred there at Greenwood Cemetery, in Section C, Lot 32, Grave 05, close to the grave of her husband, Ernest Henry Burkhardt (1878–1936).
