Description	:	CONCORDIA -- Margaret C. McDaniel, 89, Concordia, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at a Concordia hospital. Mrs. McDaniel had graded eggs and dressed poultry many years ago. She also worked for the Seymour Packing Co., Concordia Creamery Co., and Falls City Creamery for many years. She was born Oct. 2, 1909, at Glasco, the daughter of Forrest Sterling and Nellie Williams. She attended school in Meredith and Sibley Townships. She moved to Cloud County in 1928. McDaniel, 89, Concordia, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1999, at a Concordia hospital. Mrs. McDaniel had graded eggs and dressed poultry many years ago. She also worked for the Seymour Packing Co., Concordia Creamery Co., and Falls City Creamery for many years. She was born Oct. 2, 1909, at Glasco, the daughter of Forrest Sterling and Nellie Williams. She attended school in Meredith and Sibley Townships. She moved to Cloud County in 1928. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a charter member of Women of the Moose, and a member of the Auxiliary to Post No. 76 of the American Legion, all in Concordia. She married Marvin C. McDaniel on Dec. 15, 1928, in Concordia. He died Aug. 26, 1986. Mrs. McDaniel also was preceded in death by two sons, Donald McDaniel and Gary McDaniel. Survivors include two daughters, Aleta Gile, Wichita, and Shirley Yager, Salina; two sons, Marvin Dean McDaniel, Sarasota, Fla., and Dennis McDaniel, Kearney, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Concordia. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia. Mrs. McDaniel will lie in state after 9 a.m. today at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel in Concordia where relatives and friends will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
