Description	:	Margaret E. Branagan was the second daughter of Mr and Mrs John Branagan and was born at Clermont, Iowa September 28th 1868; died at the family home in Boone, Iowa January 29th 1918. In 1875 the family moved from Clermont to Lawler, Ia and there the deceased grew to womanhood. In 1887 she went to Emmetsburg and for several years was associated with her brother, W.L. Branagan in the publication of the Emmetsburg Democrat, and also served as the deputy postmaster at Emmetsburg. On July 2nd 1895 she was united in marriage to T.J. White at Lawler... Branagan in the publication of the Emmetsburg Democrat, and also served as the deputy postmaster at Emmetsburg. On July 2nd 1895 she was united in marriage to T.J. White at Lawler and the following ten years resided in Emmetsburg where her husband was conducting the Palo Alto Tribune. In October 1904 the family moved to Whittemore, where they resided until coming to Boone in August 1916. She is survived by her husband and seven children, J.R. of Algona, Helen, Harold, Vincent, Marie, James and Thomas: one sister Miss Maria Branagan of Lawler and five brothers, W.I. of Emmetsburg, --- of Coleman S.D., John of Libby, Mont., and Patrick and James of Lawler, Ia.
