Born December 15, 1924, in Ida Grove, Iowa, Margaret Elizabeth Corbin was the daughter of Milford and Gladys (Miller) Denham, Sr. She grew up and attended school in Ida Grove. On September 16, 1941, Margaret was united in marriage to Alvin Corbin, Sr. in Marysville, Missouri. The couple made their home in Ida Grove and was blessed with three sons, Alvin, Martin, and Myron. Margaret worked at Bomgaars in Ida Grove for nearly 20 years, retiring in 1986. A member of the First United Methodist Church in Ida Grove, Margaret participated in Dorcas Society and in earlier years volunteered much of her time cleaning and helping in various capacities. She loved dancing and playing cards. Survivors include three sons, Alvin (Mary) Corbin, Jr. of Ida Grove, Martin (Wanda) Corbin of Carroll, and Myron Corbin of Ida Grove; eight grandchildren, Kelley Mohr, Keith Corbin, Kris Lure, Shawn Corbin, Melanie Vorsten, Emmalie Rasmussen, Samuel Corbin, and Heather Corbin Bensman; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Corbin of Sioux City; and a sister-in-law, Elsa Denham of Custer, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin in 1999; her parents; and two brothers, Milford Denham, Jr., and Robert Denham.
