Description	:	MRS. J. R DRYDEN Margaret Elizabeth Hoerath was born in St. Charles, Mo., December 24, 1864. she moved to Livingston, County Mo. in 1869. On October 23, 1881, she was married to John Redman Dryden with whom she lived faithfully till his death, October 27, 1904. Of this union were born four sons and two daughters as follows: Leander C. Dryden, Denver, Colo.; John L. Dryden, Larned; Victor V. Dryden, Mahnomen, Minn.; Vernon R. Dryden, Mrs. Ira Mast, and Miss Lockie Dryden, all of Larned. Dryden, Denver, Colo.; John L. Dryden, Larned; Victor V. Dryden, Mahnomen, Minn.; Vernon R. Dryden, Mrs. Ira Mast, and Miss Lockie Dryden, all of Larned. She united with the Methodist Episcopal Church South, at the age of twelve years. With the removal of the family to Kansas in August, 1904, she united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, with membership at Ash Valley. She remained a devoted and consistent member here until her death, which occurred February 25, 1917. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev, J.FS. Ragsdale, at Ash Valley Church, Wednesday 28, at 10 a. m. and burial was made in the Larned Cemetery. In addition to the children and two brothers, John and Peter Hoerath and a sister, Mrs. Bettie Kullmann of Chilicothe, Mo., a host of neighbors and friends attended the services. Thus ends the earthly life of a true wife and devoted mother, a faithful friend, and a sincere Christian. Her heavenly life has begun. Larned Chronoscope 1 Mar. 1917 Thu.
