Description	:	DONNELLSON - Margaret E. Philp, 74, of Donnellson, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Keokuk Area Hospital. She was born on Jan. 7, 1927, in Wythe Township, Ill., the daughter of Roy and Olive Parker Zinn. She married Everett Philp on Nov. 19, 1950, in Wythe Township. He survives. Read More	DONNELLSON - Margaret E. Philp, 74, of Donnellson, died at 11:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Keokuk Area Hospital. She was born on Jan. 7, 1927, in Wythe Township, Ill., the daughter of Roy and Olive Parker Zinn. She married Everett Philp on Nov. 19, 1950, in Wythe Township. He survives. Additional survivors include: two daughters, Paula, Mrs. Stephen Pohren of Farmington and Karen, Mrs. John Newell of Ankeny; two sons, Mark, Mary Ann Philp of Donnellson and Doug, Sue Philp of Loveland, Colo.; AFS daughter, Bernadette Lanham of New Zealand; a grandson; a granddaughter; two great-grandsons; a brother, Ralph Zinn of Warsaw, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Laura Pohren. She moved to Donnellson from Montrose in 1994. She attended Warsaw High School in Warsaw, Ill. For 10 years she and her husband owned Montrose Hardware and Clothing Store. They also had a winter home in Alamo, Texas for five years. Mrs. Philp was a member of the Chapter #5 Order of Eastern Star, Montrose and a member of the International Order of Kings Daughters & Sons - branch president of the Iowa branch. She enjoyed stained glass art and was chairman of the Camp Look Out Board, Montrose. She also was founder and choir director of St. Barnabus Choir in Montrose and the organist and music director of the Montrose Methodist Church for 40 years. Mrs. Philp was a member of the Donnellson United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women Life Member. Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Donnellson United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Barb Krueger and Pastor Jim Eads officiating. Burial will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery, Keokuk. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday at Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson, with family meeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
