A daughter of the late Ora and Josie McIntosh Hisle, Margaret was born in Franklin, Ohio on January 8, 1929. She lived in Pershing for 31 years before moving to Connersville. Margaret Evelyn Hisle Lay PERSHING - Margaret Evelyn Hisle Lay, 75 years old, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2004, at the Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Connersville (Indiana) where she had been a resident for the past 3 1/2 months. A daughter of the late Ora and Josie McIntosh Hisle, Margaret was born in Franklin, Ohio on January 8, 1929. She lived in Pershing for 31 years before moving to Connersville. She retired from the FORD Plant in Connerville after 24 years of service. She had attended the Dublin Wesleyan Methodist Church and after moving to Connersville she attended the Woodland Bible Church. She volunteered at the Cambridge City Senior Center, was a member of various prayer groups and the TOPS Club in Richmond. Survivors include 4 daughters: Alice Schmitt of Connersville, Marilyn (Phillip) Neal of Economy, Margaret (James) Geise of Burlington, North Carolina, Rebecca (Ronald) Ullery of Middletown, Ohio; one son, Albert (Jane) Lay of Cambridge City; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Ronald "Shorty" Hisle of Greenfield, Ernest M. Hisle of Terra Haute; 5 sisters, Lena Smith and Alma (Eugene) Beasley both of Connersville, Norma Robbins of Columbus, Ruth (Robert) Cordell of Martinsville, Helen (Boyd) Gross of Covington, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Lee Hisle. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 11, 2004, at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin. Rev. James Tilton and Rev. Paul Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in the South Lawn Cemetery at Dublin. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at the funeral home. Brother, Ronald "Shorty" Hisle 12/6/1925 - 5/31/2007
