Burial will be in the family lot in the parish cemetery. The body will repose at the family home until the time of the services. Miss Finnegan, former deputy county treasurer, was well known throughout Carroll and Carroll county. Born June 27, 1889, on the Finnegan homestead in Sheridan township, Carroll county, she was a child of eight years when the family moved to Carroll from the farm. Following her graduation from the Carroll high school, she taught in the rural schools of Carroll county for six years and subsequently taught in the public school at Vail for nine years. Miss Finnegan was later appointed the deputy treasurer of Carroll county, which position she efficiently filled for 12 years. Survivors include two brothers and four sisters: The Rev. Father J.T. Finnegan of Salix; the Rev. Father H.D. Costello, C. Ss. R., of Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. J.S. O'Boyle of Sioux City, and Misses Bina, Rose and Agnes Finnegan, at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Patrick, Steven, and Thomas; and twin sisters, Misses Elizabeth and Kathryn Finnegan. Mrs. J.S. O'Boyle and daughters, Misses Geraldine and Lillian, of Sioux City and the Rev. Father J.T. Finnegan of Salix have been at the Finnegan home since Wednesday. Miss Loretta Finnegan, a student at Clarke College, Dubuque, and Joe Finnegan, a medical student at St. Louis University, St. Louis, niece, and nephew of Miss Finnegan, are also here. Miss Loretta arrived Friday and her brother came Saturday morning.
